Math teachers can’t apply math to real life
A simple proof
Math teachers can’t apply math to real life.
A simple proof:
1. A geometric progression looks like this: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32.
2. Math teachers teach geometric progression.
3. Math teachers DON’T allow students to talk to each other during lessons.
4. If students shared their knowledge of geometric progression 1:1 face-to-face, understanding would grow geometrically:
- 1 students understand,
- 2 students understand,
- 4 students understand,
- 8 students understand,
- 16 students understand,
- 32 students understand.
5. What we have in reality: students are allowed to talk for a maximum of 30 seconds per lesson.
6. So, no math teacher actually uses geometric progression in their lesson.

I don't mind that a Math teacher introduces algebra, geometry, calculus & physics AND if the interested students wants to continue learning into becoming engineers, scientists, physicists, doctors .. then learn that math at UNI (university), not in elementary, junior or high school.
I have not used algebra for any purpose in 45 years.
